Hi,
Although you hear the fuel pump, it may not be producing enough pressure to run the engine. Here is what I suggest: In most cases, a no-start is caused by either a fuel-related issue or an ignition-related issue.
Try this and let me know the results. See if the vehicle will start for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know its fuel related. If there is no change, I need you to check for spark to the plugs.
