Won't go past 35 mile making a fan noise

How long since a tune-up? If the engine sounds like it is racing but not picking up much, could be a tranny issue?

Check fuel pressure. Check air intake, check exhaust. Check for applicable trouble codes. You may be able to get codes by cycling your ignition switch. You turn key just till the dash lites come on, cycle the key, on--off, on--off, on. Then the mil on the dash starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes.
