Truck will not start when engine is cold. Spayed one shot of starting fluid in air breather starts right up and will stay right up after engine is warm all day. Let it sit over night will not start I have 42lbs frp and does not leak down after sitting for a while have done changed the FPDM, MAF, CHT, fuel regulator/fuel temperature, but cannot seem to find the ECT sensor anywhere. Any ideas to help get this thing going will be gratefully appreciated.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com. The coolant temperature sensor is located on the forward portion of the engine, left side, under the intake manifold. To access it, you need to first remove the air inlet tube between the air box and the throttle body. Then, remove the alternator and it's mounting assembly. I believe there are four bolts which hold it in place. Once those things are removed, you will have access to the sensor. I was able to find a picture online to help you locate the sensor. Letter A is the coolant temperature sensor.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Cheers,
Joe
