Recently and now, my car will accelerate until thirty mph then it will stop accelerating and loud thumping comes from the rear. Sometimes it will go back to normal. But I have had to pull over on the interstate and turn my car off then it will be okay again. What does this sound like? I have had issues with the wiring of my all wheel drive and the light is currently on but it has been for awhile with no issues. I have noticed no leaks but my fuel line seems to expel a lot cause I can smell it.

Hello,

I want to help you here but Im not sure where to start. Does it feel like the brakes are coming on or the engine is having a hard time, do you have a check engine light on or does it seem like an exhaust system issue?

Best, Ken

Thanks for the reply! Yes the check engine light is also on. Since it was repaired I have noticed that the brakes tighten up sometimes when I drive or try to brake but it still always me to brake. I took it to the shop and they said nothing was was show on the analysis. They said it may be the computer in the engine but they aren't sure. They checked just about everything. The thumping in the rear is new ( when it wouldn't accelerate passed 30 mph)

That's the thing, they said they looked into that and no codes were shown. Can that even happen?

If the check engine light is on there should be codes, have them rerun the test.
