Where is the transmission range sensor located?

The transmission range sensor is part of the valve body, here is what the part looks like that has this sensor intergraded into, what problem are you having? Check out the images (below).

Wow, you are not kidding, let's do a CAN scan to see which codes are stored. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

It does sound like the range sensor, but a code would help, let me know what you find.

There are the only codes that deal with the transmission.

U0101 - Lost Communication with Transmission Control Module (TCM)

P061A - Internal Control Module Torque Performance

If the fuses are okay I would replace the valve body which is the transmission control module. Make sure you clear the codes once the repair is completed. Please go over this guide and get back to us.

Replacing it is not too bad, but it will need to be programmed, do you have that capability?
