I live in the mountains and when I turn to go up a road and let off the gas truck will not down shift and I have a loss of power. I've did a lot of things, tune up cleaned mass air flow sensor, my mechanic put the test equipment on my truck instrument doesn't show anything. I can't figure out if it's a transmission problem or an electrical problem, truck runs fine and has plenty of power and shifts fine thanks for the help. Ray

I have seen a bad MAP sensor cause this issue and not give a code, here is the location of the sensor so you can check it out. Cleaning this sensor will not help, it must be replaced. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Ken, l thank you for your help. I changed out the mass air flow sensor and that fixed my trucks problem, I can stop on a steep hill and the truck doesn't hesitate a bit. I hope my gas mileage will improve I've tuned the truck up and it runs a lot better thanks again. Ray in the mountains of Georgia.
