Water pump

It has two connection holes in top of it. Why is there two and where do they go?

Does the intake manifold have a connection right there on the front?
The other should go to the heater core.
Let me see if I can find a diagram.
I am not seeing any 4.6 for that year, is that maybe a 5.0?
