I recently had the fuel pump replaced on my volvo due to a recall. The day after picking the car up from service, I was attempting to fill the tank with gas when the fuel nozzle at the gas station prematurely shut off every time I started to fuel, as though the tank was full. I put as much gas in as I could in 2 second intervals and assumed I had pulled up to a faulty pump. The next time I needed gas, I went to a different station and the same thing happened. I've since called Volvo and immediately, the service manager said that the fuel pump wouldn't be related to the fueling problems I'm having. I have an appt. In a couple of days to bring the car in to be looked at. Can anyone explain to me how I could pick the car up after the fuel pump replacement, having never had a fueling problems, only to begin having fueling problems the next day?
