1998 Volvo S70 radio problem

after new battery instalation, my radio comes on with
only an "off" on the screen. Please help an old,poor man.

Hi there,

I feel that the radio security code will have to be re entered, do you have the code, if not your dealer will be able to retrieve the code from there data base with the VIN No, this can often be a free service.

mhpautos is correct. Once you get the security code, you will need to leave the ignition switch on for a while, sometimes a few hours until the radio displays CODE again. It would be a good idea to have a battery charger on and set on low. Once the word CODE comes on, enter the code and the radio will start working again.
