Generator warning light

I have a 4door 1997 volvo 850glt with 96000 mile

When I start to go up a hill from the stopped position the accelerator light goes on temporarily when I apply the accelerator going up a hill. The mechanic cannot find a problem. The car seems to be ok otherwise

Accelerator light?

The generator is probably going bad, but only showing under heavy load. A poor connection is the crarging sytem or the belt slipping are the next two likley possiblities.
