I have had my alternator replaced 3 times since christmas as my alternator workshop and battery light came one each time. It is 6 weeks since the last replacement and the lights flashed on again (the mechanic put it down to a faulty batch of alternators the last time it was replaced). I wondered if it could be anything else other than my alternator causing problems. I also had my battery replaced at chirstmas when the 1st alternator was put in.
I am at the end of my tether with it and would appreciate any help

HI there,

have you had the so called faulty alternator bench tested to locate the fault, this may give a clue as to what I causing your problem. I would ask the mechanic if this as done, or just a new alternator was installed with out any diagnostic evaluation taken place.
