After starting the car and it reaches normal operating tempertures, if I turn the car off and run an errand, it will not start again. This only happens around 1 in 10 times. If the temperture of the engine is cool it starts right up with no problems. There is no misfires, engine hesitation or idle problems once the car is running. The starter just runs, it seems there is a combustion problem but only when hot.

While the starter is running does it sound like it is cranking over the engine or does it sound slightly different? Like it is whirring? This may be due to missing teeth on the fly wheel. If it sounds like this try just rocking the car back and forth a few times and see if the starter engages.

Else wise do a compression check hot and cold and see if one or more cylinders have a large discrepancy.
