1997 Volkswagen Golf 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

hi I got a question for you I got a 97 vw golf 2.0 with manual transmision and since I bought it I has the chek engine light on I have an ACTRON autoscanner and every time I chek my car with it only one code come up and the code is p1613 and it says manufacturer control auxilliary inputs and outputs
and I have no idiea of what this is please help me because I tried to fix it since I bouth it and I cant ill be waitin for your answer and thankyou for your help!

P1613 may indicate wiring issues between the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the Engine Control Module (ECM). Inspect the wiring between the 2 for damages, loose and/or dirty connections. However, mainly P1613 simply indicates that the TCM requested the ECM to turn on the check engine lamp.

In most cases, replacing the range switch (AKA neutral safety switch or inhibitor switch) will solve the problem.
