no power from coil

I have a 69 volkswagen that was converted to a street legal buggy. I just bought a motor i saw run and put it in. after changing the exhaust and dog house fan i put it in the buggy and tried cranking it over now it wont run. I get no spark from the coil?

If there's power going to the coil positive from the ignition switch check the contact point gap-

Check your ignition circuit all the way to the ignition switch
