Fuel pressure affects how much fuel sprays from each injector each time they pulse open. You cannot have vapor lock on your engine. The fuel pump delivers about one gallon of fuel per minute to the fuel rail on the engine. Only a tiny percentage of that actually goes into the engine. The rest goes through the pressure regulator, then right back into the gas tank. Any vapor bubbles would go back to the tank too.
