Based on your description, I feel either you are losing spark or fuel. I have to be honest, a bad crankshaft sensor will act this way when they get hot. What I need you to do is check if the engine has spark and fuel when it is refusing to start. Something tells me you will find there is no spark. I will attach links which explain how to check both; however, the first link is related to a crankshaft sensor and how they act when they start going bad.
