Truck starts and runs. Does not idle smooth, almost like it's going to shut off while parked or stopped. Also, while driving it misses out at random times. Doesn't matter the speed, nor the temperature outside. It's like it just chugg's for a few, then just keeps on driving smoothly. Wondered if maybe a vacuum line issue?

Hi,

Often times a rough idle is caused by an engine vacuum issue. However, that is usually not noticed when you are driving. It is a good idea to check for a leak because that can be part of the issue.

Here is a link that explains how to locate and repair an engine vacuum leak:

Next, has the vehicle been tuned-up recently? Does the check engine light stay on when the engine is running?

Let me know.
