Sounds like you have a burned out ignition resistor going to the ignition coil. It is bypassed during cranking so the engine will run while the ignition switch is in the "crank" position.

I have a 1994 ford bronco 351 modified big block 184,000 miles It will start up fine and run for about 20 minutes then just dies as if someone shut off the key I try to start it back up and it wont but if you let it sit for a couple of hours it will start right back up and do the same thing. Sometimes it will run for a day or two without any problems I have replaced the coil, coil wire, ignition module, and did fuel conditioner and losened the exhaust and none of those made any difference

OK HAVE DIAGRAM

CRAMMED MAY NOT BE EZily READ. IF YOU WANT IT, LET ME KNOW, I CAN SAFELY GET IT TO YOU

NO LOCATION IS GIVEN HERE

HOWEVER (THIS MAY BE DIFFICULT) ON THE DIAGRAM, IT IS "RESISTORS" SLIGHTLY BELOW THE "10" AT THE TOP

THE "DK GREEN-YELLOW" WIRE AT THE COIL, SEEMS TO BE A DIRECT PATH TO IT---I DO NOT NOW HOW FAR YOU WILL HAVE TO FOLLOW IT!

Electrical problem
1994 Ford Bronco V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 187000 miles

The engine dies when I pull the headlight switch. I
replaced the switch, but that did not correct the issue.
I resently had the the intire dashdoard out to replace
the heater core. Is it posssible that I have done some
thing to the wiring when I reassembled the dash?

BEST "I" CAN DO. CARADIODOC MAY DO BETTER

REWIND TO MY ANSWER STARTING, "OK I HAVE THE DIAGRAM"

READ LAST LINE AGAIN!

I KNOW THIS MAY BE DIFFICULT. ESPECIALLY WHEN, ONCE YOU FIND IT. YOU MAY STILL BE LOST!

PROBABLY HAVE NOT GOT "MR. VOLTMETER" AVAILABLE?

IF YOU CAN FIND IT

MAYBE I CAN THROW YOU A SIMPLE TEST, THAT MAY POINT MORE. AT THE RESISTOR BEING BAD

DOC, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THIS WILL DO TO THE ELECTRONICS ON THIS RIG

CAN I SHOW 'EM MY REAL JEEP PICS, OF BYPASSING DIRECT TO THE COIL?

OR IS THIS A BAD IDEA ON THIS ONE?
