Hi,

Is everything properly connected? Does it bounce like there is no resistance?

This is an odd one if everything is attached. Something is either installed incorrectly or the new shocks are bad. When you bounce it, how many bounces does it take until it stops?

Let me know. If possible, take a pic of the components you installed and upload them so I can see them.

Take care,

Joe

Everything seems to be connected right and yes it bounces like if it has no resistance coils on the shocks seem to be too stiff or something seems like a Low Rider when driving.

If the shocks are connected, this doesn't make sense unless they are bad. But they aren't. Is it possible for you to get a couple of pictures and upload them for me to see? Also, let me know the brand or part number of the lift you used so I can look it up and gain a better understanding of its design.

I will watch for your reply.

Hi, everything looks normal. I looked up the parts and they are standard. The strut is the only thing that can be causing the problem if everything is bolted in place.

I suspect you purchased the struts as an assembly. That is what I am finding when I look up the Longhongauto brand. Is that correct? If so, you wouldn't have been able to push the strut/coil to check it. I feel if you removed the struts and took apart the assembly, you would find the shock portion of the strut assembly has no or little resistance.

Let me know if the spacers below are what you have. Also, did the strut properly align with the holes on the spacer?

Let me know.

Joe

Yes, those are the ones and yes, the struts came assembled together all in one piece and the spacers aligned just perfect. I'm thinking it’s the coil on it does have 1 more or 2 then the factory one but it’s the same height.

Hi,

The coil springs only support the vehicle's weight. I truly feel that has nothing to do with it. The bounce is controlled by the shock absorber in the assembly. That is what I feel is simply no good. The only way to confirm would be to take the assembly apart and when the shock is no longer under coil spring tension, see if they move up and down easily. It shouldn't. It should require a lot of pressure to move up and down.

Note: Taking the assembly apart requires a spring compressor. Do not simply unbolt the upper strut mount. It can be very dangerous.

If you look at the pic I attached, I highlighted the shock portion of the assembly. That is the part I feel is bad.

Since they are new, I would return them and request a new set. That is the only thing that can be causing it to bounce excessively.

Let me know if I can help and what you determine.

Take care,

Joe
