Getting both trouble codes. 32 and 37. 32 is EGR Valve but what is 37?
Also truck fills like it's taking off in second gear. Why would it do that?

Hi,

Code 37 is a transmission code. It indicates either there is an issue with the torque convert clutch circuit or the transmission temperature sensor. See pic below.

If it feels like it is in second when you pull out, there is a chance the torque converter is locked. Does it shift normally other than that?

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Everything is shifting good. I was having this problem before, but it was slipping and shifting erratically. So, I took it and had the transmission rebuilt. Everything felt normal but I was having to rev to 1,500 RPMs before the truck would start to move. They said they installed a new torque converter and rebuilt the transmission. My issue is having to rev it above 1,500 RPMs before it starts moving. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hi,

That sounds like a line pressure issue. If you place it in gear and lightly press the throttle, does it move? Was the cooler flushed? There were issues with restricted fluid flow due to a partially blocked cooler.

Ask if that was done. Actually, (it's been a while) but I remember there was a recall on one of the cooler lines' connectors. The connector reached its melting point when the transmission fluid got too hot. This was a recall, but I doubt they would cover it now.

Regardless, let me know what they tell you. Also, you may need to perform a line pressure test. I can help you through that.

Let me know.

Joe
