Could it be in the ABS thing? I think I read somewhere that it's a EBCM the ABS is built into it.

Hi,
That is possible. I attached two pics below from the manual. One indicates the BCM and the other the EBCM. They look like they are in the same place.

Yeah, they are so I guess I change the rest of the wiring out then I shouldn't have a problem hopefully.

If you have a chance, let me know how things work out for you. I'm interested in knowing. Also, I wish I could have been more helpful, but when things get changed, it really makes it a challenge when the vehicle isn't in front of you. I hope that makes sense.

So question: if the theft system was tripped on the other car and then I swapped everything would it be stuck in theft mode?

No. Once power is disconnected for an extended period of time, that shouldn't be an issue. Also, even if it was tripped, it should reset.
