No issues with the transmission the other night I kind of pulled out in front of some one close so I kind of gunned it it shifted hard in second then it kind of started bucking so I let off and pulled over. It was like the transmission was in not in gear. I shut it off let it set ten minutes it went back in gear went fifty feet then quit. So I had it towed home. Fluid is full and clear.

This sounds like the input shaft speed sensor is not working right but to be sure lets run the codes to see what comes up.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Yep it will cause the transmission not to work at all. Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Hi Ken,

Sorry took me a long while to get back over there. I checked the codes, no codes other then a O2 sensor code. So I started it up put it in gear and it seems to pull okay forward and reverse. I did not have time to drive it, plus I was alone did not want get stranded. Do you have any other ideas?

It sounds like it could be low on fluid. Lets check the fluid and service the transmission to see if that helps. Here is a guide to help you see step by step how to do the job:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers, Ken

Even though you do not have a code for it I would try an input shaft speed sensor. If that does not fix it the transmission is probably bad.

Here is a video that will help you see what to do to get the transmission out (different car but the process is the same) and diagrams below to show you on your car:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
