Got towed. Turns on no Issues. Will not move in any gear with given gas. Returning back to park, you hear a metal broken up sound. Before this, when you start moving it would rev some but not hold the car back. So I would take my time taking off, not heavy footing. Is it the transmission?

Hi Francine Green,

We can help with that. it sounds like transmission issues. have you performed any service or repair prior to issue? proceed to scan for codes, (see link below)

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

Second perform fluid level check (see diagram below).

In your case you will not drive but only start and check fluid level.
Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Nick

Okay. Thank you. The check engine was on then it would go off. I tried to get the code but it didn't return anything.

Hi,

I noticed we haven't heard from you for a couple of days. Has any progress been made regarding the issue? Also, the idea that you hear a metallic sound when placing it in gear makes me want to check that none of the CV joints/axles have broken.

Here is a link that explains what one is and how it works. They are located under the vehicle and go to each front wheel. If one has broken or is no longer engaged, the vehicle won't move. However, you would also not have park. Is that happening?

Take a look through the link and let us know if you are able to check them.

Take care and let us know.

Joe
