water pump

i was told i had to lift the motor to replace the water pump , is there another way on a 89 toyota tercel 1.5 L

it makes it easier to do so, but also takes a bit to do so.

if you can get yoru hands and tools up in there to take off the water pump then theres no need doing the extra work!
