I have a concern about my tercel. IT is a 96' Tercel with 103,000 miles. Runs Great and no problems. Just replaced EGR valve. PCV vavle has been replaced. Runs like a top. What could cause an issue like this? Everytime I check the oil after a month of having an oil change, I'm down a quart. Diagnostics have been done and the only thing that was flagged was teh EGR valve. What should I do? I have monitored for a leak and have not come across any oil being left behind on the ground.

Oil is used in two ways. Either you have a leak or it is going out the tail pipe. Look carefully at the tail pipe when you first start the car and see what color the smoke is.

A wet and dry compression test will tell you about the engine. If you have bad rings or valve guide seals

What grade of oil are you using and what kind of filter?? Let me know
