Engine Cooling problem
1993 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

My 93 toyota pickup is overheating, I just replaced the thermostat. It is not loosing any coolant, also when I turn the heat on high and fan on high I get cool air coming out. Not sure if these problems are related or not. Any help is appreciated.

For the heating: Check the heater control valve and the heater core if its clogged-up

Engine overheating-Could be the radiator is clogged /radiator cap/or the water pump is defective if okay -try bleeding the cooling system that dont' work get it block and pressure tested.

HI there,

Make sure that you have bleed the cooling system of all air, run it with the heater open and the cap off till it opens the thermostat, if fitted with electric fans, make sure that they are working at temp, and if the radiator has never been cleaned & flow tested get this done as well as it may have a partial blockage restricting circulation, start here.

Thanks,
I flushed the radiator, block and heater core, and also replace the heater control valve. Everything is working great. Thanks for the help.
