High idle problem

My car is a 1989 toyota MR2. 2000cc 1G-GZE engine.The vehicle started problems with high idle after a long trip where i lost temp sensor and a cracked vaccum hose. I bought new sensor & hose,cleaned all vaccum pipes & cleaned throttle body.Now it idles upto 2000rpm,gears shift late & generaly doesnt pick speed quickly nor drive smoothly. When i step on the gas pedal,the supercharger doesnt come on,instead check eng light comes on &power decreases

You need to find out what code/s is it, before we can help you.

You could start by cleaning out the IACV and also check the TPS/MAF sensors-inspect the Acc. cable.
