I have a '95 toyota corolla, about 145,000 miles, 1.6L engine. When I drive at speeds above 10 mph, the steering wheel shakes back and forth, it's not a huge oscillation but I can feel it in the entire car. I know that I have two bent rims on the rear axle. But I have been told that bent rims on the back will not affect the steering wheel. Would buying new rims for the back fix this problem?

Hi there,

Best have the steering checked for worn tie rod ends or balljoints, more than likley it's a tyre or rim fault so have them checked as well.
