The fan is giving out a noise on the hi speeds. I assume it is the resistors that are dirty or blown. Can someone tell me how to access the module. Thanks

A bad resistor or control module won't give you a noise. It just supplies electricity to the circuit. If a resistor was blown for a particular speed, then the blower motor wouldn't work at all at that speed.

If you motor is giving you a noise at a high speed, then it's either dirty or damaged, which will cause it to be out of balance at that speed or struggle to maintain that speed.

Most times, the motors begin to go bad at higher speeds and eventually stop working all together.

Thank you Earnest,
The reason I mentioned resistors is there was a module on the fire wall on a Explorer that I had (I forget what it was called) that had various size resistors (spring looking) that when I replaced it the fan motor went quiet.

I was thinking this was a similar problem.

Where is the fan motor and what is the best way to get to it on this Corolla?
