Hi if I changed my breaks, and I used semi metallics, because they last longer, and I didn't change the rotor when I put on the new shoes, and the rotor probably needed to be changed, would the sound that my car is making be due to the fact I didn't change the rotors? It sounds like the rotors, but I wanted to know, would lack of changing rotors be dangerous or just a really loud annoying wistle? And do I need to change the rotors this weekend? Can it wait a week? Will the sound go away after 30 miles of driving to break in the new shoes?

Sarah, Semi metallic pads will take 100 to 200 miles of frequent braking to wear into worn rotors depending on how bad they were. You will probably have to put up with the noise until they do. As far as safety, unless the steering wheel pulls drastically to one side you should be OK. Keeping in mind, when the noise goes away, you will probably have reduced the life of the new pads by 50%. Hope this helps.
OK Sarah, I'm resending the post.

Hi thank you very much. I just couldn't find the answer that you gave on the website. Looks like I didn't have to ask the question again.

Thank you for answering my question.
