Hi, my corolla is acting up! The car will not accelerate, its like if it miss fires just as you press the accelerator but if you press it slowly its ok? Also it seems to be a bit better when its cold!

No engine light on! Would it sound like an air leak? Poor spark? Cat? The wrong plugs had been fitted to it for a few weeks but I have replaced them now with proper ones!

The wrong plugs? Did they have any mechanical damage to them when you replaced them?

If they were misfiring, you could have overheated the CAT and clogged it. Have a backpressure test performed on the CAT.

Ususally a vacuum leak will cause a high idle.
