Noises problem
1996 Toyota Corolla Manual 135000 miles
When I'm in gear but not accelerating, my car makes a rattling noise. I Think it's the exhaust pipe but it does not rattle all the time. What is it?

The rattle could be the clutch throw out bearing, this would be the car in neutral and clutch out.
Could also be a loose heat shield on the exhaust.

I'v just had a new clutch fitted so do you think it could still be a clutch issue? After I replaced the clutch I thought the noise would stop. But it didn't.
Thanks!

If car is in neutral and clutch out and the rattle is there, then a throw out bearing, especially if the noise diminishes when you depress the clutch.
