We recently bought to car after the previous owner let it sit for one year, we bought it and found it needed new spark plugs. After driving it for a bit it started to have thins 'jumping' feeling. I replaced the transmission filter and saw no metal shards what-so-ever. A mechanic said to replace the CV axels, it help significantly. But it continues to happen, especially when the Overdrive is turned off. It "jumps' much more when the over drive is turned off. It seems to happen at specific times, mainly from 40-50 mph and 55-65 mph.

It may well be an engine problem rather than trans.

A car sitting for a year will have problems with fuel deteriotation, without adding a fuel stabilizer before storage.
The gasoline will form gum and varnish deposits within a month or two.

I would drain and clean fuel tank and add fresh fuel and a cleaner like Seafoam to start with, also replace fuel filter, plugs.
