Hello can a bad inner cv joint break any other thing like tranny or something. Else.

Hi there,

If the CV fails completely, that is separates from the drive shaft, the may be some damage done to the underside of the sub frame & body as the loose end will flail around until the car is stopped, there will be no internal damage to the transmission or diff, at very worst the case may suffer a belt from the loose shaft and a crack may occur.
