Ever so often I turn on my car and see white smoke out of my exhast pipe, but it doesnt happen everytime I turn on my car, whether its been hours or days I turn the car on, it does it at random times. What repairs should I make?

Hi there,

Are you using coolant and is there any rough idle or miss fire with the engine?

Rough idle? No sounds of problems, when im sitting at lights just a litle virabtion in the seats, I dont know if thats rough idling. Im not good with cars but I dont want to pay for repairs that I dont need. And get tricked. And coolient I use antifreeze ya. And miss fires? Talking about it wont start? The car starts of on first turn.

The white smoke can be a sign of coolant being burnt, thats why I asked about coolant loss and rough idle, just to be on the safe side, I would get a head check done, and keep an eye on the coolant level.

As Mark said, have a compression test performed. Coolant (white smoke) is an indication of a head gasket leak.

Burning coolant will quickly ruin the O2 sensor and convertor.
