I have a 2 door toyota Corolla SR5 front wheel drive with 4AFE engine. When I bring the car up to operating temp and let it sit and idle for a while, the car begins to run rough and then the engine dies. Sometimes it blows the 15 amp EFI fuse which is located under the hood near the drivers side fender. Sometimes it dies and doesn't blow the EFI fuse. If I replace the burned fuse it starts back up. The times it dies and doesn't blow the fuse, I just let it sit for about 10 minutes and it will start back up. I've tried switching the EFI relay with the headlight relay because they are the same parts and have the same part number. That does not make a difference. Does anyone have an idea what my problem is?

Hi northcaman,

The EFI relay operates the fuel pump as well as few other items and swapping the relays indicates it is not a relay fault.

You would have to check/test the fuel pump and other wiring circuits to find the source of your problem.

In addition to what KHL said:

Measure resistance across injector pins, should be 14-16 ohms, if resistance is low 2-4 ohms, then the injectors are bad.

And the pump could be drawing too many amps.
