The fuse for my brake lights blew out along with the taillight fuse. I replaced both with a 15 A fuse and the brake lights only worked for 10 min. Am I using the wrong amp for it or could there be another problem? (I replaced it twice with the same results)

Hi there,

You will have a short to earth, start with pulling one glob at a time with a smaller fuse in place, if the fuse blows the problem should be in the side that has the globe fitted, start looking for a loom that has been chafed or damaged in some way.

Remove the rear brake light assy, just squeeze tabs and remove. There is a short back there, look for any burn marks in the bulb assy.
