Is there any difference if I just leave the Air Filter of my car exposed, I mean I removed the top cover that also serves as the "pipe" for air intake. Please see below. Thanks and more power.

Hi Jack,

Yes, there will be a difference. Resonance/suction noise would be louder and the vehicle will drive the same as with the cleaner cover installed.

Oh okay. But I like more noise so I will keep it that way since there's no difference in performance. Right? You said the vehicle will drive the same with or without the cover?

Yup, it should not affect the performance, might even have a little extra power if you can feel it.

Thanks for the info.

Would it have more power or would it just be that the powerband will shift within the rev range? My engine's supposed to be making 95 torque @ 3500rpm and 90 bhp @ 6000rpm, would it increase that 95 torque or the 90 bhp, or, would it just shift from these rev range to another rev range?

More power, thanks for the support.

With lesser restriction to the air flow, the overall power band should increase minimally.

You would need a dyno to find out the difference.
