My car has 219000 miles on the chassis and about 80000 on a newer motor. My car recently started acting up on me. If I warm the car up and drive it, I can drive for about 5 to 10 minutes and then it shuts off. If I keep the rpm's down then I can drive for maybe another minute. I went to kragens and someone told me that everything looks fine. Battery, starter, and alternator all good. I replaced the ignition coil and still nothing. But I was told that my dizzy could be in need of a rebuild or to buy a new one and that could help.

"dizzy"? Sorry it's early, what are you referring to?

Have the ignition module checked at most autoparts stores for free. If bad check prices, on Toyota's it is sometimes cheaper to buy the entire distributor with module rather that module itself
