Hello,

I brought my camry to 2 shops they both told me the 4 shocks need to be changed, because oil was leaking. My car is only 65k, I take good care of the car, and I understand the shocks supposed to have a little oil, and the car was making funny noise. Today, I brought my car to change the 4 tires, the noise is gone, the people at the tire shop called the toyota dealership and they were advised not the shocks, what do you think in your opinion?

thanks

If you see oil on one of the struts, then that strut is bad. That does not necessarily mean that you replace all 4. Recommended replacement is 50K miles, but I usually get about 100K before replacing struts. So, you are OK. Tires, on the other hand, 60K miles is a bit too much.

I would not worry about your struts until about 100K miles.
