I went for a routine state inspection/emission check (in PA) and
the car failed the state inspection. The shop told that lower control
arm bushings have to be replaced.
This is not a dealer, but however specializes in Honda/Acura as well
as work on foreign cars.
I was quoted $480 for replacing the lower control arm bushings(brand Moog).
Alternatively when I asked about changing the whole control arm, they quoted
$620 (brand Dorman).
They are a reputed local shop for Honda; but does the price look reasonable?
Also, what specificially the difference in driving will be if the repair
is done? Better handling of bumps?
Any other advice?
Thank You.
