I am replacing the driver side mirror on my 1996 Camry. When I removed the old one I was unable to find the power plug inside the door. I assume that it dropped down inside the door but I can't find it. I'm 85 years old, but my eyes are OK. I've loosened the inside door panel, but I still can't find the wires and plug. Ant help will be appreciated.

It could have dropped down, so we need to remove the door panel and find out.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

Once we have it removed, we can look for it, but I am thinking the vehicle is not equipped with power mirrors and at some point, someone just put a power mirror on the vehicle. Basically, the mirror is the same but just doesn't plug in. This would also explain why it didn't work before.

However, if you have the buttons on the interior panel to move the mirror then you need to remove the panel and find what happened.

Please run through this material below as well and let us know what you find. Thanks
