1994 Toyota Camry how to know whether you need a new batter

My camry turns over but is making a clicking sound and will not catch when starting. How do you know if the problem is the battery, starter, or the alternator/regulator? Where is the starter located on a 94 toyota camry?

Also on the symptoms. Does the engine crank, (meaning turn over without starting) at the same time the clicking is heard or are they separate?

Get a full charge on the battery and make sure it's holding the charge and the cables are clean and tight. When fully charged, does the clicking still occur?
