Electrical problem
1994 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I found out lately that my check engine light comes up frequently even when the car is fully on motion and when it does, the engine will go off within a minute and it will take atleast 3 attempts to start it. I changed the fuel pump but the problem still persist. Also, the car do hesitate if accelerated. You got to help me here. Thanks

Hi there,

You need to run a scan and get any set fault codes, you can do this with out a scanner, locate the check connector and bridge out terminals TE1 & E1 this will cause the check engine light to flash a code, if there is a code present it will flash long and short flashes, long is 10 & short is 1's so if it flashes 2 long and 4 short its code 24 and so on, it will go through all codes stored and re start again, so watch carefully, get the codes and post them here.

HI there,

With all these code in the system, I would first clear the ECU by removing the EFI fuse under the bonnet for approx 30 sec and re insert and run engine up to normal operating temp and re scan, also check battery and chassis earths re post codes here and we will work through them one at a time, but you will need to have a multi meter and be able to understand some basic auto electrical checks and test.
