1992 Toyota Camry My windows are nasty!

On the inside of my windows I find a white residue that appears. When I clean it off, after a couple weeks the white stuff is back. I don't know where this is coming from. When I wipe it off the window it looks like white flakes, or white powder. I am afraid I am breathing something hazardous to my health. I suspect the air conditioning but I really don't know.

There is nothing in the A/C system that can cause this< is it on all the windows? Side front & rear?

The white film appears mainly on the side windows but also on the front windshield. It comes off without too much effort and appears as white powder that easily falls off the towel I wipe it with
