What would be the right booster pack to buy for a 35N type battery with 800CCA? I know you would highly recommend me just to have my car repaired but just for the sake of knowing and answering my question.

what is the difference between these:
1) a booster pack with 700 crank assist amp (usually seen at canadian tire, motomaster eliminator brand)

2) a 100/200Amp engine starter (sample. Schumacher 2/10/40A, 6/12V charger and 100/200Amp engine starter with battery tester)

will I end up better buying item 1 with 700 crank assist amps or item 2 with 200 amps engine starter?

as for additional information. My main fuse rating is only 150 amps (I can see it connected to the positive terminal of the battery) and I have 35N type battery

I feel option 2 will be best suited.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. In addition to my first question, I live here in winnipeg, manitoba, canada where winter temperature could dip as low as -40degrees centigrade (celsius) in 7 days. My car would be parking on an outdoor parking exposed to the cold temperature as I go to school for my class. Will item 2 be good in this condition? ( I would be leaving the booster inside the car on an outdoor parking lot for about 10 hours). Thank you very much again.

Hi there,

Well we are worlds apart, I liver in Australia and often have to deal with +40 Deg C I really don't have any experience with such cold, I really don't know who to ask about that. Maybe talk to a battery retailer they may have a better idea as to what to expect under your local conditions.
