Engine Performance problem
1990 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am the owner of a 1990 Toyota Camry it has 132,000 miles the vehicle was working in excellent condition, however I took it for an engine wash and after the wash the engine began idling rough and there is black smoke coming out to the exhaust, which suggest a very rich fuel mixture. I would like to know what could possible be my problem.

Hello,

Most likely moisture has gotten into some of the connections. Give it a chance to dry out and see what happens. You may need to replace the plugs.
