Clipped onto battery terminal and stuck probe into compressor clutch. Blowed cold air. Took probe off battery and she blows hot air. Where should I begin to look?

Hi there,

As you are by passing all the systems that turn on the A/C best to back up a bit. Check A/C fuse, if ok, you may have a leak in the system and the low pressure switch has shut the system down. If you can locate the sight glass in the reciever dryer, jump start the A/C and watch the sight glass, if it bubbles up then clears, thats normal, if it bubbles all the time, the charge is low and a leak could be the fault. Remember that this is only a quick check and the system should be tested with hi/low pressure guages to find any fault.
