hello, one day while i was hauling an 8ft trailor with about 15 railroad ties for a distance of about 50 miles, my 4-Runner picked up a slight knock in the engine. What could this noise signify and how much would it cost me, ballpark. thanks so much for the help

Under what conditions do you hear the knock now? all the time, under heavy load? cold? hot?

Sounds like a bearing failure, pull the sump and drop the caps off the big ends and inspect the bearings, if they are ok, check main caps.
