Tire noise like big truck tire noise but under drivers feet. I just recently started with tires about six months old. Engine running: parked, no noise; no gear noise when changing; driving to 35 mph I can hear-tire like noise. Shift to neutral and coast to stop, no change in noise except with the slowing. When Driving shift through all gears there is no change, 4wd shift on and off no change.

fluid in engine, transmission, etc. All good.

Thanks for any ideas!

Have you checked the tires themselves? Also will the noise get louder or quieter when turning lane changes etc? You could have a bad wheel bearing.

The tires appear okay. I ran my hand over all four and did not feel any high spots, or saw tooth. I will try turning the wheel at speed. Thanks for any ideas!

If you have a jack and jack stands I can tell you how to check the wheel bearings.

Put it up on jack stands in 2wd with the tires off the ground. Put one hand on the coil spring and use the other hand to spin the tire as fast as you can. Compare both sides to each other. If the bearing is bad you can usually feel it in the coil spring.

Excellent advice; and it worked. That coupled with the previous advice from someone about riding in opposite circles at the local Walmart identified the problem. Fixed it yesterday. Thank you!

Yeah I have been using that spining the wheel by hand and feeling the bad bearing in the coil spring for years.
